To work together with a superb creative mind like Stephan Aube and to put ones own energy into his artistic vision was particularly gratifying in this project.

The Louisiana Museum holds an important place in my heart- it is there that for a number of years I was allowed to hone my skills as a Beethoven player and the sheer beauty of the location, architecture and collection never ceases to amaze me.

What was your favourite part of working on the Mussorgsky films?

I loved working nights in the museum. With Stephan Aube, we have chosen different places and we asked to Andreas Haefliger to play his role in the corridor. His character in all this places was a real source of inspiration. To be a small crew in the auditorium and work all the days together was a real privilege

What inspired you to get involved with the arts and this project with Louisiana Music?

I know Stephan Aube, the director, for several years now. Every time, his projects are a great challenge. In this situation the global context in the museum and the real proximity with Andreas Haefliger was incredible. With Stephan, we decided to tell stories, that music offers some situations. You don’t just film a great pianist in a place, you take inspiration from the museum to create an atmosphere. I hope people will enjoy listening and watching this.

What was your favourite part of working on the Mussorgsky films?

Definitely, the little chickens ! I have animated 50 dancing, jumping, goofing around and it was so fun ! And the result is amazing, beyond expectations. Baba Yaga film was more tricky. Stephan and me had a very precise idea of what we wanted, between Fantasia "night on a bald mountain" and "Indiana Jones and the lost ark" final scene. We have worked very hard to achieve this incredible result. We are very happy, it's something we have never seen in classical music videos.

What inspired you to get involved with the arts and this project with Louisiana Music?

Making films for Louisiana is a real privilege and Lars Fenger offers us a total freedom. Which always pushes us to go a step further each time. I only wish my animation art wouldn't be so separate from the Museum and be cosidered as piece of Art in itself. This Museum is one of the best place I ever visit, very inspiring. I even have an idea of mixing videos of the Museum and animations, it could be amazing.

What was your favourite part of working on the Mussorgsky films?

"The first project I worked on for Louisiana with Stephan was in 2012. Since then I saw the museum and its surroundings only on screen. So of course it was a great pleasure to be on set for the shooting of the Mussorgsky films, to walk through the long hallways, see the art and enjoy the outside area with this great view of the sea for the first time. Especially the preparation and shooting for the part in Baba Yaga where Andreas is running through the hallways was exciting and special. It felt a bit like in the film „Night at the museum“. But as a film editor the part of working that’s my favorite is when I’m sitting in front of my computer and puzzle all the little pieces together, when I try out different versions and timings to come up with a film that hopefully delivers a feeling for the viewer."

What inspired you to get involved with the arts and this project with Louisiana Music?

Working on art projects clears my mind from formatted programs and films. It’s very important to keep an open horizon and develop new ideas and the projects for Louisiana Music are an opportunity to let creativity run wild. I’m very happy to be able to collaborate with Stephan Aubé and Louisiana Music and hope we will produce more art projects in the future.
